Whether your pet is accompanying you to a new life abroad, or you’re bringing your furry friend back with you to the UK, it’s only natural you’ll have many questions about the procedure. One of the first things pet owners usually want to know is, ‘How will my pet cope with the flight?’
The answer is, surprisingly well. Except for a few exceptions, pets travel in the hold of the plane. People often fear that means they’re placed in with the luggage, but that isn’t the case at all. The pets’ compartment is a separate area and, like the passenger cabin, the temperature is carefully regulated to keep the animals comfortable throughout the flight. The area is dimly lit to help your pet settle and most dogs and cats simply fall asleep.

We can help manage your pet’s travel, from start to finish. One of the services we offer is ‘meet-and-greet’, a complete door-to-door service to anywhere in the world. We will arrange collection of your pet
from your home and deliver to the airline’s check-in point for pets. This is usually in the cargo area of the airport and some distance from the passenger terminals. If you prefer, you can bring your pet to the airport yourself and we will meet you there.
We supervise the check-in, including the travel crate inspection by the airline and the documentation check; and make sure that your pet is settled quietly to wait for boarding – pets usually board last and are unloaded first.
